An unusual quartet of musicians gathered in Extensia – friends with entirely different musical roots. Their music is based on dance grooves as well as gentle melodies with jazz elements.

The rhythmic heart of the band is drummer Dmitri Belov, who sets the right jungle/drum'n'bass pulse, thanks to his experience behind the DJ deck.

Long-time collaborator David Martínek, a former punk rebel and player of grindcore and reggae, nurtures the rhythmic foundation with strong grooves and subtle harmonics.

Contrasting this rhythmic section is the delicate, dreamy style of singer Marta Filipovská and her alto saxophone.

The final ingredient in Extensia's sound is the keyboard visions of Armenian native Vahan Dashyan, who adds atmospheric effects, a pinch of classical music, and jazz.
